BULL CRAP!
The Kenku is OP character that suffers/balanced from not been able to communicate. Really hard in computer game, unless you make it animal that just can not talk to anyone… and the it would be really painfull.
In tabletop the DM has more freedom and player has more options to RP the character and use somemother means to communicate… at least to some degree.
Kenkus are cool! But pain in the *** to program.
So the same plot twist as Astation would be cool.
Apparently Larian is thinking about a DLC up to level 14, we might get lucky.
But such a big bird (Kenku) or panther (Tabaxi) is also a form where some NPCs would react interestingly. Like this shoebill ^^

Then just play an Aarakocra. You get bird people who can actually fly...
