Druid shapeshift scaling
The Polar bear has 30 hit points at level 2 when you obtain the ability to shapeshift into it.
That's a lot of HP for a lvl 2 character, but it seems to not scale as I lvl further.
Does it not scale, so it gets weaker and weaker as hp pools and damage get stronger and stronger as we keep lvling?

I also thought about it. As of now it does not scale - maybe because it's still early access and you don't really need the scaling yet, or we will get stronger shapes overtime to replace the polar bear which makes sense to me.

Wild Shaping changes you in said aninal with all it's stats, so no, hp won't be scaling. You should, at later levels, get access to more powerful shape shift options.

As you level up druid you will get access to higher CR animals to shape into.

Larian said that was it for early access and the rest would be saved for the release.

It doesn't scale, and that is why i think shapeshifting is going to be like the summoning tree in DOS2. A skill that is really powerful at the beginning, but becomes ♥♥♥♥ as you enter the second act.

Wildshape in 5e
Level 2 CR 1/4 No flying or swimming speed
Level 4 CR 1/2 No flying speed
Level 8 CR 1

Circle of the Moon
Level 2 CR 1 no flying or swimming speed
Level 4 CR 1 no flying
Level 6 CR = (Druid Level/3)

Wildshape Scales decently well with Circle of the moon actually.

Circle of the Moon gets access to elemental shapes at 10th level, so that definitely helps.

Thank you for all the answers!
It's nice to see that druid scales into higher levels better than I feared xD

I strongly disagree that summoning falls off that early. Incarnate is insanely powerful untill pretty close to the end. It's tanky, does ludicrous damage and is adaptable to whever element the target is weakest against.
Eventually you get to shift into elemental forms.

I'm thinking about making a Druid/Monk (Moon/Drunken Master) that shifts into air elemental form.
