Nadira (you know, spoillers)
When you reach the grove area, you can save Nadira from being murdered by a bugbear assassin. I did that. After wiping the goblin camp I returned and she was dead, the bugbear corpse gone. I still have the soul coin. Anyone else faced the same experience? I just wan't to know if it is scripted (she must die) or this is a bug (with no bear, pun intended).

I save-scummed to ensure I saved her from the bugbear assassin as she is repeatedly wont to go ahead and try attacking the bugbear after a single turn of fleeing in terror, making it's mission infinitely easier. Had Lae'zel rush the bugbear, attack and shove him off the cliff, which reduced his health by about 1/2. The rest of the party easily dispatched his remaining prone HPs. After the battle, I talked to Nadira several times (save-scumming to find all dialogue routes) and I encountered an entirely separate bug: A double conversation. The persuasion skill-check to gain the coin from her was easy enough, but I would immediately enter the same conversation again with her, this time with Gale as the player-controlled protagonist. The skill checks were the same, so I'm thinking it's a visual bug as well as a dialogue-event bug simultaneously.
I haven't finished the goblin camp yet to see if she remains alive afterwards.

i had this bug as well after finishing the goblin camp but both nadira whom i saved and the little girl tiefling being held by the druids whom i also saved were both killed even though i had saved both of them.

GT, I actually had that double conversation with her as well, but if I remember correclty with the same character.

Dammir, I saw the "captive girl" with her parents, so at least this didn't happened to me .-.

Hope they fix this. The parents gave you a cool necklace and I felt Nadira would have a good part in history since she appeared in the cinematics.

Honestly, let her die. I saw the bugbear assassin when I roamed up there, I alerted my co-op buddy to him too. First round, she flees by going on top of the rocks instead of past us on the hills down. Ok, that's dumb but at least the Bugbear has effectively failed his stealth kill, right? I have my spider familiar jump right in front of the bugbear so it can't run without provoking an AoO and then all of us rush him. Then this idiot, Nadira, runs back towards him like she's grown a huge pair just because we're fighting her would-be assassin. Like, "What the hell are you doing you idiot?!?! He's trying to kill you don't run back to him!" She gets to him before us gets hit with a devastating hit that puts her at 1 hp.

We manage to shove the bugbear off the cliff to his death and in return Nadira starts berating us about some coin that we know nothing about. Literally 0 gratitude for saving her life. Then she has the audacity to imply that, after we keep telling her we don't know what the hell she's on about, we should go kill goblins if it's what we're good at in the most snarky tone. I stood there for about three seconds nodding to myself before I pulled out a dagger and shoved it in her gut. Good riddance to bad rubbish. I think that she's supposed to die honestly, but then again, I am a Drow.

I don't know if I haven't been clear: I saved her. But when I came back she was dead and the bugbear corpse gone, so it looks like a bug (merged with a bear).

Did any of you by any chance did the quest with the paladin of tyr and that one injured tiefling lady?
When I sided with the "paladin" and came back to the grove I found her dead as well.

So in a separate playthrough, I save-scummed her dialogue several more times and... wow this event is a strange trip. After the initial conversation after defeating the bugbear, she'll double-convo you again with presumably whoever in your party is next in line, but seems to use your first character's charisma score for persuasion/deception rolls. You can't get duplicate coins if you succeed thru the checks again, as she'll say she either lost it or it was pickpocketed. But you can start a fresh dialogue with her using a new party member once each and she'll give "pay her way to Baldur's Gate" response every time after if talked to again with any of the party. But she'll remember the specific character that she gave the coin to, giving them the unique response.
She basically treats each party member as an individual experience, not just the party as a whole. Reminds me of this

I'm glad I found this cause I was almost thinking I was the only one that had this happen to me on both of the playthroughs Ive done so far now. The first time she talked to my character and gave him the coin, and then she immediately talked to Shadowheart after that to repeat the conversation. This happened on both playthroughs after saving Nadira from the bugbear. On my first playthrough though I found her in the woods on a path killed beside a goblin body, so maybe she is fated to die? I'm not sure.

I've had a few bugs with her. Every time I save her, she says her dialogue twice, but the second time she doesn't have a soul coin to offer me.

Then...sometimes she randomly dies, and sometimes she doesn't. I don't know what triggers it.
Big Moustache Oct 27, 2020 @ 10:37pm
Does she also die when you let her keep the soulcoin? I thought she got a second assasin from the devil who wanted the soulcoin back, and she gave it to me instead and thus got killed for not having it anymore

Nadira's double-convo and unavoidable death are still a thing as of today's date.
