k champ, these things just exist, you can dislike it but they're still D&D
There are plenty of beginners guide to 5th Edition DnD on Youtube. Yall go educate yourselves.
It holds up really well.
In terms of sales (according to steamspy) the early access is already more successful than PoE: Deadfire.
It has the same action economy of D&D 5E, which the game is based off of so it does a great job being a D&D game. The races and the characters also do a really good job living up to the Forgotten Realms lore.
There are a few issues. Changes have been made between what is an action and a bonus action, and things that were unique to one class are now available to every class, but that first class has been given some extra goodies so they aren't screwed over. Example is that every class can use a bonus action to try and hide like a rogue, but rogues who take the thief subclass now get two bonus actions per turn, and it's a lot easier to get advantage on attacks for that juicy sneak attack damage.
yet not a single similarity with pervious bg games. you just a larian white knight
Same dev therefore same game? what?
Engine, Yes, Ui, No, (which is an issue cause its baaaaad), Those are such surface level bull...
That way i can say every cellshaded game is literally borderlands, tales of the walking dead? borderlands. Definitely.
The entire action economy is different, all the classes is different, its entirely different games that are both RPG's and this one follows 5e's rules quite well, There are changes and you can definitely feel the touch of the studio for sure, but acting like this isnt a game based on 5e with attempted improvement is just delusional, and calling it a reskin is just blatantly wrong.
(Man i love these wangrods who wants every game developer to scrap millions of dollars worth of assets and animations for minor things or call it a reskin, grow up, get a job, try to figure out what earning money is like, then see if you want to set fire to millions to appease forum trolls)

its the same game.
it look the same, it play the same, all the icone are the same, the ui is the same etc etc , you are blind or what ?
the only major dif. is the cinematic/dialoge.
but does not look, play, feel like bg 1 or 2
it would be call dos3 nobody would have notice the dnd rule
Except people who.. you know... actually plays 5e DND (which i stopped years ago cause it was boring as all hell)

Totally same UI, Mhmmm
Whatever, another low tier troll, If you think the ENTIRELY DIFFERENT COMBAT SYSTEM is the same because they are both turnbased then i question your ability for rational thought.
you always know a game is doing well when people try to troll like this
Yeah guy has been trolling since launch and been banned several times from forum yet still here.
