Well, boys, it was good while it lasted... 20 years, lots of hype for this reveal and it turned out a massive let down. Instead of BG3 we got DoS2. Lots of people saying that 'its different because it plays with 5E' - Mah dude, this is a SEQUEL, not a standalone D&D game... We want BG3 not DoS3 with 5E... Man, guys honestly if any of the devs are reading this, you guys have got to work a lot in making this even feel like a standalone an actual BG3 sequel, because as it stands it just isn't good enough

If your looking for a true BG3 experience check out pathfinder wrath of the righteous. It's in kickstarter and it looks like the BG3 killer

I'm not too sure what's the problem you have with it, keep in mind it's not even ready to be released as an early access game. Plenty of placeholders to look at, but the core concept of the game is there and to me it didn't feel like DOS3.

Money talks though. D:OS2 was very successful, this will probably be as well. It's as simple as that. They don't really care about the franchise, they care about making a successful game. They used the Baldur's Gate name to boost hype, nothing more. In the end, they will use their own formula which has been shown to sell and that's what ultimately matters.

dooode - its called BG3... It literally can't be more of a sequel than that... why didn't they call it 'whatever whatever' keep it in the same lore and area and try to get a bit off the hype horse and milk this game ruining a beloved series in the process?
