There is In her case. No matter your actions in Bg1 or Bg2, the story considers Dynaheir dead and gone, killed off between the two games with Minsc being alive and well.
Furthermore, Minsc is alive and well over 100 years after the event of TOB in Forgotten Realms canon due to being petrificated for the said 100 years and recently disspelled.
Larian has not announced any plans on save game or wolrd state import function yet, and untill they actually do, one should assume things are as mentioned above.
It's just easter egg stuff or shoe horned in if minsc makes an appearance for appearances sake since it is called BG3 but its going to be what its going to be regardless of the name.
A crpg based on D&D 5e set in the same city as BG1 100+ years alter. That's all it needs to be all good.
Rather that than the females from DAI.
Hell if you look at D:os2, the first act was pretty nice. You could sneak around. Do nonsense. Plenty of different paths.
Act 2 had some of that.
Act 3 even less.
And act 4 was kinda just thrown together.
