Can't treat problem on diseased crop
Vanilla game, no mods.

New player, only recently started farming.
Twice now I have encountered a bug where my crop is showing "disease: Yes", but the "Treat problem" cascading menu is not working.
Other crops have had diseases I could treat (pest flies) and still have some product left for that.

Is the menu not opening because it's the untreatable disease or is this bugged?
From what I read elsewhere, there would be no "treat problem" option if the plant was beyond saving from that devil's disease.
Level 0 farming so maybe that's a factor? (planting seeds yields 0 xp.......)

I've tried suggestions where you put the pesticide away and equip trowel or restarting game but the issue still persists.

This is a solo game, no servers/MP btw

So it turns out the plant was infected with mildew, and since I only had the pest flies product prepared, the option wasn't showing I guess?

doesn't really make sense that you need the actual product for the menu, it should just say 'missing treatment' or whatever... The arrow being in the menu but not opening is just confusing

Thanks for this! I thought the game bugged out, so I destroyed some of my crops thinking that this would be the better way since the context menu was bugging as "Treat problem > (nothing to click at)" ... this issue about no-info at all needs fixing, as this is irritating af.

I made the mildew cure and also the pest cure and it’s still not letting me cure my crop

Have not played in a long time.
It might be a bug in the current game versions.

OR

There is a 3d disease that is untreatable (devil's water fungi).
If you have both cures in your inventory and there is no option, it might be better to cut the crop to prevent spreading.
It's cureable, but takes some work.
From the wiki "the only cure is to dehydrate the diseased plant by keeping it below 10% of the Minimum Water required for that plant type".

Thanks for helping out with a game you aren't even playing anymore Testymagic!

Arthur, Testy is likely correct with the 3rd disease option, which is not curable.
Unless you have modded your game in any way, then its anybody's guess as to why your game is wonky.

But I am going with the devil's water here. One thing you CAN do for future gardens is to space your crops out TWO tiles apart from each other. This will not stop them from getting diseases, but it WILL stop it from spreading to another garden tile. Each furrow dug two tiles away from the last...no more spreading.
