If so.... yes... bites on bullet proof vests don't make sense at all.
Weird. I will try to test this out as I play.
It SHOULD be, were after the vest takes enough damage; then 'attacks' can get through easier. Because the condition of the vest (clothes/ armor) is more eroded (ruined). So bites and scratches can get through easier.
Check the health of your vest? Was is fairly 'new' or already fairly damaged? Before that foul bite occured.
Yes, odd.
That needs to be addressed then. For the sake of realism and immersion. But also just so that we can properly protect ourselves better against the 'all too often' infected bites.
Zombie was banging on one half of double door, they tried to hit it through the other open half, but instead got grabbed and bitten in upper torso all the way through Bulletproof vest, Leather jacket, Denim shirt, ripping through them all and the 100% defense they provided.
That was kinda sad after 2 months of surviving in Apocalypse mode and 3k zombies killed.
That is extremely progressive. The 2 months. But; more so the 3k kills!
