Right Click Broken
I've lost all use over the last day or so of my right click, was slowly getting worse but now i cant right click on ANYTHING in game. mouse is fine i've double checked with multiple games, its only this game and its breaking my server considering i need the ability to interact in order to play...

Same thing happened to me today, I made a new multiplayer server as host for just me and one friend and by the end of the first day I cannot right-click on anything but my friend still can. I tried quitting to desktop and verifying the game but even when I load in alone as host I cannot right-click anymore.

EDIT: Further testing, I can right click outside just fine, but I can't right click on anything indoors not even move-to. My multiplayer partner can right-click on things still. I checked other buildings and the same building type I seemed to be unable to right-click on but trailers I was still good.

After talking to my multiplayer partner I remembered that I WAS able to right click when I first entered the building, I right-clicked the TV to change the device options but after that menu closed I could no longer right click things.

Can you try switching between Borderless / Fullscreen / Windowed modes to see if that helps?

Can confirm that doesn't do anything. Loaded up my multiplayer save still inside the building that I cannot right click anything, can right click the ground outside but nothing inside on Fullscreen, on Borderless and on Windowed mode. Tried all three. No change.

Can Confirm Changing Screen fit mode did not help or fix. Still awaiting a solution :/ this is a game breaking bug... i cant even find the key binding to swap it from mouse to keyboard to try that, its stuck as mouse right click and its bugging out.

yep. I bought this for my friend for xmas and we could only play for less than an hour together before this bug broke the game, made it unplayable. I feel like a terrible person for buying my friend a gift that is broken.

So i ended up biting the bullet, did a full reinstall of game and started a fresh server, Right Click is working for now, We'll see how long it lasts till i have to restart again :/

like I said in my earlier comment I could right click even the building I am saved in right now before I used the device options on the TV, now I can't even right click the TV

Did one of you claim it as a safe house? I had the same issue aswell, and turned out my bf claimed it as a safe house. When he added me to join it (the safe house), I was able to right-click in the building. Hope this helped <3

I have safe houses and PvP turned off in the host settings because I only planned to play with one other person. It also applied to the house across the street.

There was only 2 of us online during Holidays and neither of us claimed it, Thank you though! any troubleshooting steps are appreciated :)

Currently in the same boat , was able to right click on the 29th , now i can't right click anywhere near our safehouse anymore , might be something with safehouses?

I fully deleted all game files and uninstalled, wiped entire games known existence in my pc, then installed it fresh, booted up new MP server with ZERO mods installed, EVERYTHING IS FIXED. so i would guess a lua/other file error? but just sucks theres no way to fix it without full reinstall and restart. there should be a troubleshooting menu with multiple ways to fix the game, look at BeamNG as an example, they offer Cache Cleaning, Deep File Clean and restart, and then Verify integrity of files and mods, THEN LAST OPTION is a full reinstall... IF PZ is gonna have LUA which ive only had beautiful problems with in the past, we need a way to be able to backup and restart the lua if need be...

See I think that's just a case of you going completely overboard trying to fix something that is a server-side problem that you can't fix. You can verify the files of this game, the only thing extra that you sometimes need to do is manually delete (or unsubscribe) all your mods so that you don't have the mod patches but the latest version only. If you manually delete the files when you verify the game through Steam it checks your workshop content as well. Sometimes you need to launch the game first with them deleted before it will recognise but that's how I reinstall all my mods without unsubscribing from any of them.

I have never been able to reproduce this bug in Single Player and I have tried removing mods from my multiplayer save by editing the files on my PC so it would boot with no mods. Still can't right click in the houses around my character.

Either that or it is something wrong with the specific server settings like the safehouse setting even though I had that completely shut off.

Since different people have reported it happening to them at different amounts of playtime and circumstances, you also can't be sure that it is really gone on your new file. It may have just not happened yet.

Hey, Overboard solved the problem :steamhappy: , atleast for now, hopefully it'll be fixed in next patch for good, and we shouldn't have to worry about silly bugs like this ruining the server. on the bright side the reset caused everyone to have to redo the road trip and we found some cool cars and a mechanics shop this time around, so it'll work itself out :)

Okay I fixed it.
As the Server Owner i had a safe house. My friend invited me to a safehouse but never got the notification for the invite. I can't right click at any thing in the safehouse.
I released my safehouse and accepted a new invite. And now everything works fine!
