41.51 Car Dash UI missing
Hello, i am playing on 41.51 beta build, i tried getting in a car on a character earlier to day and noticed that the car dashboard was not showing up. Googled about to find a solution but none of them appeared to work

Things i have tried
-Moving away from the car, pressing V to hide the interface and showing it again, then returning to the car
-Restarting the Game
-Creating a new world with the same settings. I was worried at this point i simply hadn't enabled vehicles, but going into a new world and getting in a car did not show the interface when vehicles were definitely enabled
-Verifying Files Integrity
-Reinstalling the game
-Went to C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid and deleted everything but the saves file.

Things to clarify
-I entered a car on the earlier play through and the dashboard showed, it has not showed since
-Pressing V inside and outside the vehicle still opens the vehicle radial menu, i just have no access to the dashboard
-I do not have any mods active or installed

Any help is appreciated if this isn't a bug and i'm just being silly

Maybe try moving away from the car and pressing 'I' to toggle inventories off and on again. That should get it to show up.

Odd, that usually works for me. Maybe try verifying Steam files?

Right click > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Files.

If not that, maybe a full reinstall. Never had it happen and stay stuck like you seem to have unfortunately.

I've had this problem and when it happens I either need to hop into another vehicle. I think I have to make sure that my UI is displayed (toggling "V" while not near anything).

Sorry, i should have included that i have tried both of these things and am still not getting the dashboard to show up. Weirdly i have tried it on another computer and the dash is showing up there.

Already tried this, but thanks

You could try going to "C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid" and deleting everything there except the "Saves" folder.
This would completely reset all your custom settings, so if any setting for some reason broke the Dash UI, this would reset it.

Could you share your console log after trying to get the dashboard to show up again?
Go to C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid
Open the console.txt
Copy everything from there to https://controlc.com/
Click “Submit”
Share the given link to the ControlC paste here.

Perhaps we could see if there are any errors there preventing the dashboard from showing up.

Yeah not much info to go there, the game seems to load just fine and no errors anywhere. Could you also upload your "logs.zip" file? This can be uploaded to any file sharing website like Dropbox or Google drive and such. It would contain a few more logs and your options to check whether there are any problems there.

Hello, after a couple more reinstalls the problem seems to have fixed. Would the logs still be helpful to you or should i leave them?

They wouldn't be necessary, as I wanted them to mainly check for any setting anomalies. Though settings do not get deleted after a reinstall, so it must have been some weird file corruption which is good to know.
