Need help joining a friends server using Hamachi
Like a few posts i have seen, me and a couple of friends are struggling to get into another friends server that he has set up. We are all connected through Hamachi and have read all the available/outdated guides but no matter what we try, it still does not let us join. He hosts the server, gets in himself and then we cant join, we are using the correct IP (we tried every other variant available just in case). We have deleted and reinstalled the game and hamachi and it still says connection failed and i constantly get the " sendto failed with code -1 for char 5 and length 1464"

Someone please help

Ensure the host is letting Hamachi inbound connections in their PC firewall.

Go to Windows Control Panel and open Windows Firewall, from there open Advanced Settings and check the Inbound Rules. Hamachi tends to get blocked (by default) in there and unless you open it up, no one will be able to connect.

This was the issue I had when Ham hosting, even after letting Hamachi through when initially prompted.

What's the best hosting method in case Hamachi keeps being a ♥♥♥♥♥?

correct port number? 16261
turn off windows firewall
try both playing on a public server
or join a different hamachi and try there host
then go back and do it again until it works

Yes we never changed the port number.

Others have gotten Evolve (IM client) to work for them. I've never used it though so I don't know the setup steps on that one.

Connecting to his IP (since he's hosting) right? His being the 25.8.x.x or whichever subnet Hamachi uses.

Does he see the attempt to connect on his side?
