Opening garage doors?

I made a safe-house recently and I want to store my planks, tools, etc. in the garage. The only problem is that the only way to enter the garage is through a window. It's pretty annoying since going through windows can be slow and it is a pain to have to open them.

Tap E to open them when facing them, hold E down to climb through. It's not that painful ;)

At present there isn't a way of opening garage doors - hopefully one day.

One possible solution shorter termwould be to take down a wall with a sledgehammer, build a door frame and a door

Opening a garage door would be like ringing a loud, continous dinner bell for the zombies. And heaven help you if it jammed and started making an even louder mechanical whine sound.

Something to consider is using a sledge hammer to knock down part of the wall, and then constructing a door.

I already walled off my safehouse, so that wouldn't matter. I also killed all the zombies around my safehouse too. I wasn't aware that a sledgehammer could be used to knock down walls though, thanks.

The crowbar should open Garage Doors. And if it makes sound when you open it, great! A threat for the possible payoff. The Storage Units would high value target areas if you could get inside and find possble stashes of goodies.

What would be better than working hard to open a garage door with a sledgehammer or crowbar and find the shed completely empty with nothing aside of those few zombie crawlers just chilling and waiting on the other side for you to kindly let em out so they could then eat your guts...
