Veteran Trait.
You know when you choose the Veteran, you must have the one trait that makes you have to get negative traits? Well, maybe he can alse have a Trait called "PTSD" that evens it out, so you don't have to get negative traits, like Deafness or Thin Skinned.

PTSD (For people who chose veteran) will cause the character to be more vulnerable to 'Deppresion' and they will have a harder time getting out of it. That should cause you to not to sacrafice the points making you "clumsy" or anything else.

P.S. I know I may have made a few mistakes, but I'm just new to the game and I have a hard time remembering all the traits and names.

Wouldn't PTSD trigger Anxiety attacks like more propicious to Nightmares and whatever, making you impulsive while happy and motorly impaired when depressed?

I can see it being a general Negative trait. Linking the Veteran occupation to PTSD would be weird, not all of them have it.

I know, but look at recent wars today, many have genocides. Wouldn't that make many veterans have PTSD? Example: one soldier in the US army, who saw the holocaust aftermath, cried when he was told a woman died who he noticed when passing by in the camp, and he was a tough person (Mentaly). So, I belive many would have PTSD. Besides, that's one guy in the apocolypse, so he would most likley have PTSD.

And I don't know what happens when you have PTSD(All the details), I just noticed guys on TV just being deppresed, I'm not a doctor. :/ However I know they have nightmares and scary memories and all.

I play as the veteran occupation, and when choosing negative traits I always pick the trait Restless sleeper. You will wake up sometimes in various levels of panic and not be able to go back to sleep for a while. It's the only way the veteran gets paniced and I think of it as a type of PTSD when combined with that occupation. Works for police as well. Another good couple is overweight and obese. These can be fixed during your play through and as many vets realize (as I did when I got out of the Marines) when you stop exercising regularly you gain weight. No weight loss program quite like running from zombies. That also opens you up to get better perks like strong if you take another like hard of hearing or smoker

Veteran Trait sounds like a good idea since Veteran should not be considered an occupation.
If the Veteran occupation was renamed to Soldier it would make more sense.

And if you do, you should be able to spawn in March Ridge, as it's a military town.
