I'd just like these to be in for my own organisation sake, & not have it be a mod.
for me, i agree with your organization thing - but i also like the idea of once they add the feature, having a mod which randomly fills cans found out in the wild with the wrong liquid - as a little reminder to pay attention to details - and only trust stuff i filled myself - but maybe make stuff in shops always correctly filled
and sometimes i want to be angry at myself after my transmission explodes coz i tried lubricating it with diet soda :-D
or lets say you want to make some disinfectant but you only have bleach & water fill a Gas can to 8 then add 2 bleach & mix for that. But if I do this in a Red Can & that goes in my car then despite the gauge reading full there's no fuel, This is the main safety why I'd like more gas cans.
but there's always room for more chaos.
a definite good addition to go with the new liquid system - i am really excited for the new crafting, liquid and profession stuff - that first beta of build 42 is going to be a truly wonderful moment - i may take some time off from work just to revel in its glory lol :-)
and build 42 will be my first major release since i started playing properly (owned it since 2015, but only started playing properly a few months ago) - really interested to play the first version, and have that experience, having played a lot of this version
but yeah - i can also appreciate those that want to wait for stable builds
either way - the future of this game is bright - and full of color coded gas cans ;-)
i doubt i will ever play stardew valley - i have heard good things - but i watched a speedrun of it - and while i respect the detail and i am sure it has many good qualities - it's looks too much like Zelda on the SNES for me lol - plus i understand it is very much focused on the farming side, as well as the zelda style RPG stuff - which doesn't float my boat so much
but like i say - got plenty of respect for it - and not everything's for everyone - i went from Minecraft to Space Engineers to Factorio (with a load of Skyrim, Fallout 4 and Kerbal Space Program in between - plus a bunch of other interesting things - but these are the big hitters in terms of hours played) - but PZ really appeals to me with its nostalgic graphical style reminding me of the original Sims - but with obsessive detail to the loot, the crafting, the interactable, destructible and buildable stuff etc - all set in the zombie apocalypse - with some pretty fun and visceral combat and satisfying shooting - as well as a really nice graphical sheen to it in both the art and the animation
as well as mods that turn everything up to 11 in every possible category lol
so yeah - i've quickly become a big fan - and interested to see how everything evolves
it's one of those games that is so good at what it does that i wish i could mix in with the other great games i love - e.g. i wish i could do everything i can do in PZ, but also build complex machinery and vehicles, and mold and shape the landscape, and create advanced production lines etc
but i suspect that with the crafting and profession stuff that is coming, along with NPCs and the story mechanism - that it will satisfy me on so many levels that i will be able to get the few other fixes from those other games - but my main gameplay hit from this one lol :-)
This is unrealistic in a game that's already a good realistic game while being a game in so many areas. A better system would be Fertiliser is applied to furrows you can't over water so easily (explained in the thread simple farming) seed mechanic unchanged its good as is, & water once per day rain counts as daily watering. this system allows you to LEAVE the base & explore instead of saying at home & watch the plants grow / refill the heaters in the garden room (cold weather only) & keep the water where that plant likes it.
as is its painful.
and then to accidentally killing all my crops by having foolishly put gasoline in the fertilizer colored gas can :-)
