Yep. Also would make the maps feel a bit more alive this way. (And easier to navigate:P Though i have no issues with navigation.)
Now you know where the First Baptist Chapel (United Methodist) is located.
Heading north on Dixie Highway (31w), pass the Sunstar Hotel (Golden Manor Inn), pass the Fossoil Gas Station (BP) ... THERE! make a right.... West Garnettsvile... turn here fool!
It is there we will make our last stand.
(real world equivalent names)
like how are we going to get npcs to be our ubers and take us places?!
Well, technically not impossible. They could use the stored XYZ coordinates for each tile.
So when you say to your NPC uber driver to take you to Marlington Road 322, it converts to a set of XYZ coordinates, where say free space is checked by the driver and he takes you there. Like if in 12 tile range empty space park. elsewise cruise until player says stop.
"Taxi..."
*Car Screeches to a stop*
"I gotta get to Ziggy's for open mic night."
"Are you Mike?"
"uh, no...?"
"That'll be um, 3 brains to get you across town."
"All I have is a groin and a neck, will that do?"
"Hop in."
*Smashes into every street sign along the way*
