Electronic / automated gates / garage doors

We should have a powered electronic gate / garage door that you can press a hotkey to automatically close and open whilst inside a vehicle.

Obviously the garage door / gate should be powered by a power grid, and also upgraded with some sort of electronic device and hydraulic system. Then the garage door / gate can be paired with a remote control, and the player should be able to press a hotkey to open and close the garage door / gate remotely while inside a vehicle or otherwise (up to a certain range of course).

This is to add a quality of life feature to bases, because it can get very tedious to get out of a vehicle, open the gate, get back in the vehicle, drive into the base, get out of the vehicle, then close the gate.

Adding requirements like a hydraulic system + some sort of electronic receiver that must be crafted to upgrade the gate would add meaningful base building progression to the game while at the same time adding a quality of life feature.

Totally agree, I was just looking if it was possible maybe with higher electronics and then looked for a mod but no luck :( this is so annoying

i think electric fences should just require electronic skills, generator, and electric wires and a switch to make them fences electric. personally i would love the idea of making electric fences and having zombies zapped and fried when they get to close. mybe you could put a limit to how much an electric fence can zap/fried before being tapped out of electricity?
