Smelt down or reclaim empty cans for scrap metal

Currently there will be an empty can left over after consuming canned food. It would be neat if you could turn a large number of these cans into usable metal with a high-enough metalworking skill. For example, you could take ten cans, flatten them out with a hammer and weld them together into a metal sheet.

This would give you some means of productively disposing of these empty cans. Currently, they become useless litter which in its current state can't even be used to collect rainwater like a mug.

I'd hope for something mods have already done - a scrapping option to turn it into useless or scrap metal, maybe using a metal cutting saw. Then adding more recipies to turn scrap/useless metal into metal plates, bars, etc.
