...but, I am a pretty big fan of sidelining realism for the sake of accessibility in games. Could make a neat sandbox setting, although, it is already covered by fuel consumption. A 'generator fuel capacity' sandbox option doesn't seem like it would make sense in the time-to-code vs benefit.
Making a more permanent generator setup is a really cool idea though. Something which exchanges portability for increased fuel capacity, maybe fuel efficiency, battery recharging capabilities etc etc. That is a pretty neat idea! Maybe the sort of thing which is more likely for an updated hydrocraft then a stock feature.
Neat thinking though mate!
Waou, this is really small ;D
No, dont want a new Sandbox option which would be redondant as you said
Fuel consumption option can somewhat mimic it, but it feels like cheating....
Still, sometimes i use it to remove the 'annoyance' factor ;D
Yep, of course, the thing wouldnt be really portable once modified
Agree on extended modifications with baterries charge / banks, fuel efficiency, perhaps even extending the range to closeby buildings, powering up some electric fences or the like
Perhaps making some more use of the poor electician skill too ;D
Still, here, i think it is more on the mods realm than on vanilla
Who knows anyway ;D
Do keep in mind that those are smaller portable generators. The big ones that you carry on the backs of trucks are huge, have a much longer period of operability, and much better fuel efficiency and capacity.
I constantly think of things like the permanent generator that I'd love in the base game... but then I remember how talented and active the modding circle is. I think having the modders handle the extra, and the devs focused on the core is the way to go for now!
