What OS are you playing it on?

For me, I managed to scroll it in the Windows version of the game easily. For the Mac, I could zoom in/ out, only if I access the game from the root folder itself.

Are you playing with compatibility mode, Todd? Zooming has been disabled for that mode momentarily ;)

I can only play on compatibility mode. :(

I'm on a MacBook Pro, and can't get the game to zoom in or out at all. Don't jibe what mode it launches in. What's the go around??

I hooked up a Logitech mouse that has a scroll button. Tried that and no response.

I don't know what mode it launches it. Well at least I know I don't click on the "compatibility mode" so I assume it's the regular mode. But nothing. Even changed the button config, and still no luck.

Yea I've tried both. Just sucks a little because that zoom out can help you avoid a zombie hoard or walking into the wilderness compared to into a sub division.

I'm on a Mac too and can confirm that the game seems to run in safemode no matter how I run it. Anyone know how to force non-safemode/regular mode on Mac? I can accomplish this with a batch file in Windows. I don't want to play in safe mode because I really want to be able to zoom out. I can't enable shaders either, which is another reason I think it's in safemode, but I couldn't care less about the shaders. I would appreciate any tips on disabling safemode.

I assume that the game may refuse to run without safemode and but I want to give it a try anyways to put my mind at ease.

Your safemode isn't on; there appears to be a bug with scroll input on OS X, which is why you aren't seeing zoom working on *some* Macs. Unfortunately it's hard to track down since it's working on my Mac =\

The shaders not detecting right is a whole 'nother can of worms.

Ok, I'll stop searching for a fix then. I've been scouring the web for hours. Thanks for the reply! I guess I'll try to track down a fix for getting a 360 controller working. Hehehehe I read somewhere that it's not working at the moment, but I'm a stuborn old fool. :)

If everyone with this bug (and without) would post here, it would be monumentally helpful in tracking it down:

Done.

I got it! =D
Go to options>Enable zoom, set to NO and immediately set to YES.
For me works every time, because every time you start a game you should do it again. ;-)
Windows 8.1, 64Bits

Bye!!

Note.: Do it in current game! ;-)
