Error when connecting to servers
I've made a server before with hamachi, but I uninstalled it because of issues then tried again today, but this time it didn't work even though i know what to do and i've changed nothing.
My friends can't join it anymore (they get connection failed) whilst when I try to connect it says ??? and in the command window gives the message "Request Accepted" I'm not sure what this means but it causes me alot of trouble, i've reinstalled hamachi and project zomboid several times now, tried to fix settings, even port forwarded but it doesnt make a difference. When trying to join a friends server they tell me they get the same message from me.
So, i get "???" when trying to connect, and command window says Request Accepted without anything else happening. Any answers? please?

With the server running, look at Zomboid/Logs/XXXX_user.txt. It might say something useful.

Do you see any error messages in the server console when starting up? It looks like the only reason you would see "null" as a reason are because the server whitelist database couldn't be opened or the user had "banned=true" set in the database.

I'm not sure what to do, it states no error in the console, could we do TeamViewer or something?

If you are using a .bat file to start the server, add " > server.txt" at the end of the line, after the "zombie.network.GameServer". That should put all the console messages into a file called server.txt. Paste that on pastebin, if you could please. The .bat file should look something like this:

... zombie.network.GameServer > server.txt

Where do I find the zombie.network.GameServer?

Are you starting the server on Windows using a .bat file? If so, that is in the .bat file. If you right-click on the .bat file and click "Edit" you can add the " > server.txt" at the end of the first line.

Great, could you try connecting to your server and put the output onto pastebin? I want to see any messages the server puts out.

Could you unzip this file[dl.dropboxusercontent.com] into your server's zombie/network folder, replacing 2 files? It should print out some more messages to the server console when connecting.

Thanks for sticking with this. It makes absolutely no sense. Could you download the same ZIP file and run the server + connect again?
