Project Zomboid Won't Download:

Well, I know this probably isn't the best place to ask this. But, I'm needing to help with trying to download this game. But! here's the thing: I get 1 of the 3 thing that happens when downloading it: 1. missing downloaded files, or 2. corrupted update files, 3.disk read error. I have literally done everything a post said what to do and still keep getting these errors. I've watched multiple and numerous of videos on "how to fix this problem." Yet, it continues to happen. If anyone could help me out or give me any suggestions it'll be greatly appreciated, because I do really want to give this game a try.

Sounds like something is blocking your download, do you have any antivirus on your PC? Check if any of them are blocking the game files for some reason.

Yeah, I turned off all the protection. Firewall, Spam detector. I have McAfee LiveSafe - Internet Security on this HP Laptop, turned it off and tried to find anything else that would block or prevent the game from downloading properly. I have literally tried, everything that's supposed to help or resolve this "missing downloaded files" error, but keep getting the same result. Currently opened up a ticket with steam support, to see if they can help also.

I would recommend uninstalling McAfee as its notorious for blocking PZ files for some reason, unless you are absolutely certain you disabled all the security for it, some antivirus security is very hard to disable as it runs in the background.

Well, I just upgraded to an actual PC. I’ll get it setup when I’m off work and we’ll see how it goes! Appreciate the help!
