No cursor when starting

Hello, I would like to play the game. But I cannot see the mouse cursor.

How do I see the mouse cursor? Why does it disappear during the "loading lua" part?

to be clear, when I click the shortcut from my desktop I see my mouse cursor. Then the game starts and my cursor disappears when the text for the loading shows on the screen, then I see the menu but cannot choose anything because I don't have a mouse cursor anymore

i have a fresh install of win11
with fancypants i9 machine

Sounds like an overlay issue caused by a fullscreen start. Does alt-tabbing not help you?

Try the following:
- Find the PZ executable file. Normally located at:
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid

- Right click the exe and select Properties.
- Go to the Compatibility tab and look for Disable display scaling on high DPI settings and check the box.
- Hit Apply and launch the game.

You can also try the following option in the Compatibility tab:

- Enable Run this program in compatibility mode for:, and select Windows 7.
- Enable Run in 640 x 480 screen resolution.

No. I tried that after you mentioned it to make sure. Closing and reopening the game does not help. Restarting the computer did not help. But I did try Made in-Human's ideas too, which did not work but did give me suggestion to change from full screen to windowed mode which actually solves the issue. Woot! Thanks guys, much lub
