Can't see car dashboard or check vehicle's status

Enjoying trying out B42 but the main issue that I am having is when I get in the driver's seat of a vehicle, the dashboard does not appear. I get an error message at the bottom right but it's just red with a number. I also can't check the mechanics of the vehicle. I get an error there as well. At one point, I was in a car that had the key in the ignition but I can't remove it because I can't see the UI for it. I have no mods installed and even did a fresh install. Anyone else having a similar issue?

Can you try doing a full reinstall?
First, uninstall the game, then go to "Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid" and make sure there are no leftover files or folders there.
After that, go to “C:\Users\%UserProfile%\Zomboid” and delete everything there except the “Saves” folder.
Then just install the game again and see if that helps.

For anyone else who comes looking for a solution, try verifying game files. I had the same issue and that quickly fixed it for me.

If anyone has the same problem, verifying didn't help me, but full reinstall fixed it
