Project Zomboid

Build 42 crashes upon entering world
I've been getting a weird lag in the menu even messes with the audio with flicks and repeats multiple times like in a source game but alot faster and everytime i'm about to load into a game save (a new on for that matter, that i created in build 42) the game crashes
I know it's an unstable version. Though i'm worried i might not be able to play the game. because build 41 i can play just fine.
My notebook is a bit low end
8gb ram
Intel iris Xe graphics
cpu 11th gen intel core i51135G7 2.40 ghz
Windows 11

I'm also unable to pay. I get the screen to slowly fad in at the first load in with 1 FPS, then crash. On continue load in, i get a black screen and crash.
EDIT: I'm able to play now. Turns out you cant use your previous Pre-set save settings. Witch makes sense. lol
Can you share your logs.zip file found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid?
You can use any file-sharing website of your choice or a temporary one like filetransfer.io for example.

It looks like your PC runs out of memory, can you try lowering the game settings, especially the resolution and then retry?

Nope, lowered many settings, even resolution, still crashes, apparently either windows 11 is using too much ram or Build 42 is. Because i can play build 41 just fine with everything maxed out.
There is not much I can suggest in that case at this moment, we will look into trying to limit the RAM usage.

Alright, thanks!
Can you test if it happens in the current latest patch as well? There have been a few optimizations that could help with this issue.
Okay, so i reinstalled the game, ran it. At first it seems that the menu runs at 1-5 fps before going up to 60fps after about 20 seconds, not sure why that happends, might be some useful information for you.
I created a new world, entered it. It seems like it was running fine, played a little bit, but it after 2 attempts, the game would crash when i zoomed out my view, not everytime though, only if i did it too fast.
i even decreased more settings and resolution. When it crashed for the third time, tried to come back in the world, it crashed one more time just upon entering it, and the second time actually made my computer have a bluescreen.
Here is the log: https://limewire.com/d/54fd849a-3583-40de-be0a-3b04dc00f748#VnZgCSUFfg7KS3H-Ueft1KmoLOwJ6bPF3hl4XTJf7Ps

I'm unsure if this problem might be related to windows 11, it seems like my 8gbs of ram are unable to run the game now. If this problem isn't possible to fix, i just might buy another 8gb ram for my laptop, he runs plenty of games without encountering these issues, not sure why zomboid got so heavy in Build 42.
Try also lowering the Texture size for the Vehicles, and you may even enable Simple textures to try and minimize the RAM usage.
