Project Zomboid

is there a way to resize the sandbox menu settings on steam deck?
it was always a problem on steam deck but was generally only on mod-added settings. now it's the entire menu! all i've heard for the last 24 hours is "ugh if you don't like the new changes you can change everything in the sandbox menu!" and it's such a pain in the ass on steam deck! it's not unusably bad, i'm still able to change what i want with some extra effort but the way that menu has been destroyed on steam deck is crazy. it's possible i'm overlooking some easy/obvious fix for this issue.

I got you fam. Go to the settings icon for project zomboid on steam deck, the one to the right that looks like a gear. Go to properties, then general. Now set the game resolution to 1920x1200 and slide the slider below it that says “set resolution for internal and external display”.

You will have to change the font size in the settings of project zomboid to read the text after booting the game after this. Have fun!

omg thank you! once i found a proper font size (i initially made it the biggest option and the menu was even worse!) it's perfect. i can actually see all the text AND see the check box options, which were completely cut off and unclickable for a lot of options before.

now i can actually get in game and probably hate it because all the cheat-ish mods (like customizing the carry weight/weight reduction of backpacks) don't work. i'm really really REALLY dreading going back to tiny backpacks and tiny storage containers. lolll
