[42.00] Main Menu (Only Background)

Simply unable to play all I see is the background image and sound.

I had this problem. Unsubbing from all workshop items fixed it for me

Same thing here. unsubbing from mods did not help me.

Restarting the game fixed the issue.

Restarting not help me still black window and sound...
i try few times close and restart, nothin
Almost randomly start training scenario few times in black screen, and realize char can't move at all

Same issue here i literally tried launching the game for the 15th time now, Tried restarting removing all of my mods verifying integrity diidn't even work

I had the same issue when I first launched 42. It went away when I restarted the game.

Can i read step by step what you do for restart ? i know how it sounds, but it not help me :(
I just close game, then play again,, black screen and music
I already reinstall game, delete all folders, still same issue

I suggest you go to “C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid” and delete everything there except the “Saves” folder.

I give up, i try reinstall install, delete manually folders, restarts, alredy at 4 hours, feels bad

If deleting the Zomboid folder contents does not help, can you share your logs.zip file found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid?
You can use any file-sharing website of your choice or a temporary one like filetransfer.io for example.
