Project Zomboid

Game "Freezing"
hello, this all started a bit back, i was playing a save while I was in louisville, i shot my gun blah blah blah, ended up in a bad situation being cornered, thats when my game froze, but not froze froze, it froze on my monitor, then I proceeded to hear windows shattering, character getting eaten, and the death theme playing, this is very frustrating as ive been making new saves and this same exact thing happens, ON that louisville save, I ended up waiting a bit more to see if it would unfreeze, but all i got was 1 frame, where some tiles went black and textures were bugged out, yeah very frustrating, still got high hopes that the devs got this. :spiffo:

Is this build 42? What are your spec and are you playing with any mods?

Hey, I have had a similiar issue, where my game dropped rapidly from 120fps to 20, then 10, then 2 FPS multiple time actually on the some saves. Here's what helped for me:

Make a backup of your save. You can find your saves under C:\Users\XXX\Zomboid\Saves. Try loading the backup. Most of the times that worked for me, and I got back to my usual 120 fps instantly.
Or load your game in debug mode. Then delete all animals. However that will also delete all of your farm animals, IF you are close to your base. So make sure your base is not loaded when you do it. :)

I believe it is related to rats? I think they have a bug where they multiply 1000 times over and over, which causes huge lags.
