Visible traffic cone bug?
https://postimg.cc/Ffb5mRd3

I'm experiencing an interesting issue similar to the one shown in the screenshot. On a multiplayer server, traffic cones appear spaced out like in the image, and the area enclosed within those cones takes on a greyish/desaturated tone. When I move outside the cone boundary, after some time the same thing happens again — everywhere turns grey and gets surrounded by a new line of cones.

any idea what's going on?

Those cones appear while the server is generating and sending the data for the next "chunk" of the map,

It can be caused by a number of things, slow host PC, slow internet, server is overloaded, mod issues etc.

Is this a dedicated server or a self hosted session?
i tried on both. dedicated and self hosted.
my pc is good
My friend's pc also good.
I can't solve the problem.

I can share my modlist. Currently playing on a 42.19 MP
I noticed something. In the ProjectZomboid64.json file, I increased the RAM allocation from 3 GB to 8 GB and then launched the game. However, the game immediately closes before it even reaches the main menu.

So whenever I try to increase the RAM allocation, the game won't start. I tried doing this because I thought it might solve the chunk loading issue you mentioned.

Maybe this information will be useful to you.
How much total RAM does your system have?
Also does the same thing happen if you start a game with no mods enabled?
16 GB RAM
Yes, it happens on non-modded server too.
Can you share your logs.zip file found in %UserProfile%\Zomboid?

You can use any file-sharing website of your choice, or you can use our official link to share the file https://beard-theindiestone.fromsmash.com/request/OQzxAk6MFK-dd
After that, can you share the link to the file here, so I can download it?
I'm not seeing any attempts with no mods enabled, can you try with no mods then send the files again please.

After your suggestion, I started a vanilla single-player game to test it out, and everything is working perfectly now. I had a mod installed that changes the game's textures, and reinstalling the game must have deleted those manually added folders, which fixed the issue. I'm going to try it on the online server shortly.

Sorry in advance for the confusion if this was just a mod issue all along..

Quick question tho, Could you tell from the logs exactly which mod was triggering the problem?
There's a few errors from Spongies Clothing and Spongies Open Jackets but nothing major
