My friend on MAC can't join my game

Hello, i'm trying to play co-op with my friend (I'm on Windows and he is using MAC). I host through the "host" menu and i invite him with the in-game "invite friend" but he always remains stuck on "trying direct connection" or "authorizing with steam". Another friend of mine tried to join the same game and he joined immediately without issues (Windows). At this point we don't know what to do. I also tried port forwarding but it didn't help

Hello, quick update: my friend tried to join a random online server and he was able to do it. So the problem is not on his hand neither on my hand because as i said another friend of mine joined. It seems the game doesn't want us to play together xD

Would mean that there is some sort of issue with your server specifically in that case, you have any mods enabled? And has any other friend tried to host instead in that case? Or having your friend on the Mac host.

I have mods but they are not enabled and my server works because the other friend on windows was able to join. My MAC friend also tried to host and but i couldn't join him.

Quick update. He tried to host again and i was able to join his game, then i tried to host and now he is stuck in "joining server"

Hm, I am not exactly sure how to explain that in that case, it is as if there were some network issues at the times you are connecting to each other? It certainly does not sound like a problem on his side, since he can join other servers. I may only be able to suggest testing out different connection combinations, either he hosting or you hosting. Or perhaps try changing the server RAM settings to see if it makes any difference.

Lastly, for best connection stability, I recommend playing through a cable instead of wifi.

We tried again with him hosting and it worked but then when i hosted he couldn't join. I don't understand the issues because as i said another friend of mine joined my game immediately. I tried to change ram settings but nothing changed, he remains stuck in "joining game"

We found the issue. I have only one mod active, mod manager, so when hosting even if it isn't selected in the server mods tab, my friend, that doesn't have it, can't join. I told him to subscribe to the mod and active it and he finally was able to join
