"Loading World" loading forever?
I follwed this guide to create my own server:
https://www.pcgamer.com/project-zomboid-dedicated-server-hosting-memory/

But when i host a server (no mods) it just says "loading world" forever...
anyone knows what may cause this and how to fix it?

Can you share your logs.zip file found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid?
You can use any file sharing website of your choice or a temporary one like tmp.ninja for example.

From what I can tell the server fails because a separate server is already running, this can happen if you try to start and cancel the server in a row a few times.
Try restarting your PC and see if that helps? That usually fixes this issue.

Tried to restart, and even to retry on another day, same problem.
What i do is starting the dedicated server
then starting the game and pressing HOST and from there to host a game
maybe im doing something wrong but it wont let me host, it just stuck on "loading world"

Yes thats definitely wrong, since you are basically starting two servers. The dedicated server is one and the Host server is another server.
If you want to connect to the Dedicated server you have to go through the Join tab and connect through your own local IP to the server thats already running.

You likely wont see it in the public list, you have to connect to it using your local IP by filling out the necessary information on the right side of the join server screen.

when im tring to connect to my local IP i can locate the server succesfully but cant connect (some P2P error) and it says it cant connect through local networks only through steam.
I then tried to google for my ip and enter the IP but it cant locate the server

do you by chance have a discord we can talk through?

You can find me as the Tech Support in the official TIS Discord:
https://discord.gg/0lGvMrCiUWbasJFh

I could try connecting to the server myself and you could share some screenshots through Discord so it would definitely be faster there.

If you get a p2p error in zomboid when trying to connect to a server it is almost always caused by steam doing maint on tuesdays and users not reloading their steam accounts afterwords.

Steam has a very bad habbit of arbitrarily adjusting routing information between their servers and their game servers every single tuesday.

Simply relog steam and the p2p connection error should go away.
sorry for necro, found the solution at least for me

do not change the port number. leave it default. that fixed it for me:steamthis:

if that doesn't work, try and isolate the problem. start a default server. if that loads, default server with only your mods enabled. if that loads, then it has to be settings related to port stuff
