I think it has something to do with HDR. After exiting the game I have to go into the HDR settings in the system and re-enable it.
@Beard, it's definitely something caused by running PZ with HDR enabled. As others mentioned, disabling and re-enabling HDR solves the issue, but this shouldn't happen from running PZ in HDR-mode. Other games do not cause this problem.
Edit: I'm using Windows 11 and HDR can be enabled/disabled in the Settings of Windows OS (not PZ) and then going to Display.

AMD should have something similar:

122 games in my Stream library, 86 in Epic, and stupid amounts elsewhere, and I've never had to start messing with Vulkan/OpenGL settings before. Looking at the dates of the original reports, its not very encouraging.
This is awesome advise, thank you! 🙌
I would recommend checking my post above, as you have not referenced it in your reply, I have to assume you did not look at it.
Thanks for the suggestion. I do not have an Nvidia GPU but I will see if where I might find these settings in the AMD Adrenalin software though.
If I cannot at least the windows mode works for now.
There was a post about it here for more info:

You can try enabling the Triple Buffering option and see if that works?
I gave playing PZ a new shot with the nvidia setting turned on as described in the link you shared. However, the problem still persists. The monitor seems to be switching between darker and lighter mode every few seconds without it being clear what is the trigger between each switch.
