Is there a reason this keeps coming up? My mate and i have played for years and he still can't launch the game normally. We've got no reason to think up anything else that might be the culprit that we haven't already tried changing. His performance is much much worse in these conditions also.
You can download them here:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170
Also there is no difference between the two launches feature wise, there should be no reason why the performance would be worse.
When he gets in a car the vehicle sounds like its at max mph but he can only drive at like 24mph total because the game performance slows to a crawl. When he goes offroad he can't even accelerate. His machine is by no means bad- (7700K, GTX1080, 32gb 3200mhz, M.2 NVME etc, i have never had a problem on similar hardware though ive long since upgraded).
The game crashes for him immediately if he selects anything on the menu unless he runs off the 64bit bat file. The game just runs like pure ♥♥♥♥ for him, it destroys anything tied to framerate and i feel bad for the guy after nearly 600 hours of just dealing with it.
