Can't accept an invite to my friend's server

Every time my friend opens a server and gives me an invite, it does not allow me to enter. When I click on the "invite", the only thing I can do is open the game, but since I already have the game open, nothing happens.

On another note, every time I create a server when the game is loading the map, it crashes.

Did you click 'Allow' before inviting your friend?

So you see a green "Allow" button when you invite them (the interface can be confusing) Any mods enabled?

I saw the green "ALLOW" button, I have invited my friend plenty of times when I wanted some GMOD. yet it does not work with Zomboid. Normally when someone invites you, it shows the button, yet on Project Zomboid it doesnt.

Have you tried closing the game and then accepting the invite?

Of course. By this way, it should open the game AND enter the server, but it only opens the game, and nothing else.

Interesting, in that case have you tried going to your Steam friends list and right clicking your friend and selecting Join Game?

i have mods enabled and my friend cannot join does he have to install and enable the mods? I thought it had a prompt saying what mod the server has and if you want to download them
