manual install mods not showing up in game

doesn't matter what mods i download manually none of them show up in game i'm putting them in the mods directory as mentioned in forum posts or videos this wasn't a huge problem before kinda sucked but i got over it but now i made my own map mod and i cant test it

Did you put them in with the correct folder hierarchy? Can you share a screenshot of where and how the mods are placed in the folder?

ive never posted a screenshot on steam so ill have to figure that out

heres the directory set up for a mod i tested:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid\mods\Riverside Gunstore\media\maps\Riverside Gunstore

nvm i know what i did wrong now idk why there is a mod folder in the zomboid file

ok double nvm put the mod under the user mod directory and it still doesn't work what is the proper place to manually put the mods in?

It should be put in the C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid\mods folder
Specifically the path should be C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid\mods\Modname\media\etc.

yeah they still do not work i mean any mod i try doesn't pop up in game

where do the workshop mods go? maybe i can just toss them in there

nvm tried it didn't work i really dont get whats going on im going to try another computer

nope i cant seem to do it at all tried 3 different computers did the exact directory tried like 10 different mods idk at this point

Should work fine, have you tried other mods than this one?
And can you share your logs.zip file found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid?
You can use any file sharing website of your choice or a temporary one like tmp.ninja for example.

I can see Riverside Gunstore being loaded just fine in the logs, the issue is that you already have that mod installed in the workshop. What are you exactly trying to do? Are you unable to see the workshop mods?

nah that was just an example of a mod i tried manually installing i i did find it later on the workshop because it did not work manually i should have posted a different one
