VOIP not working

Hi all

So I was playing PZ earlier and I was about to pvp someone when they didn't respond and I felt bad. Then got told they were calling me a ♥♥♥♥♥ through VOIP--

Turns out I've been playing for over a week thinking a lotta players are mute/dunno how to talk when actually they're probably using voip. So I can't hear voip.

I've enabled it in the menu and can speak into my mic and see the game can hear it (green mic bar goes up in response to my volume), but still can't hear anyone.

Any advice? I'm a admin so I've even enabled 'hear everybody (VOIP)' and despite my admin buddy saying he can hear some guy eating crisps, I can't hear anything. Maybe I'm blessed.

Also is there any way to test it other than asking some guy to scream into his microphone for me? All good if not.

Further info- Current Build, not testbench/beta, no mods, I can hear the game audio perfectly fine otherwise aaaaand Windows 10.

Can you share your logs.zip file found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid?
You can use any file sharing website of your choice.

Thats unusual, it seems like the sound system for VOIP just doesnt launch for you. Can you try using the "Alternate Launch" option when starting the game and see if that happens? You can check out the logs yourself for these lines:

[14-01-22 21:03:53.791] LOG : General , 1642194233791> [VOICE MANAGER] Init: Start.
[14-01-22 21:03:53.791] LOG : General , 1642194233791> [VOICE MANAGER] Disabled.

The Voice Manager should not show Disabled

So after that the CMD that's opened w/ alternate launch shows-

and
LOG : General , 1642364236743> [VOICE MANAGER] Init: End
LOG : General , 1642364236745> [VOICE MANAGER] UpdateVMClient going to sleep

A bit below it. Will let you know if I can hear players in-game or not.
