Yea, we sat around during their scheduled time and it never played, which was odd.
Yea, i have some. nothing that would "seem" to affect that directly. authentic z, britas, grapeseed, fillabusters, become desensitized, more traits
yea, i could not get it to work on a dedicated server hosted from my pc. it worked originally, but after a couple server wipes, it stopped working. even redownloading the dedicated software 12 times and making new servers, it was forever broken, even on vanilla.
however, i purchased a g-portal server and suddenly they're working.
can't really understand it.
First.. For the map issue just have users delete their multiplayer save game folder for the server having issues. folder names will have the IP of the multiplayer server
These files can be found here : C:\Users\username\Zomboid\Saves\Multiplayer
I run Ubuntu server and used steamcmd to install the server with mods
I removed all mods started new world. - still had the issue
I fully un-installed and then re-installed the zomboid server - still had the issue
So some notes. And then I explain how I fixed it. When Zomboid server first starts, steamcmd will auto create this directory on my server along with default server files
Default Dir created
/home/ubuntu/Zomboid/Server
Files
servertest.ini
servertest_SandboxVars.lua
servertest_spawnpoints.lua
servertest_spawnregions.lua
What I was doing was just stopping the server after it finished starting up the first time, and then I would replace those default created files with ones of the same name with my values and restart the server. . I BELIEVE THIS IS THE CAUSE OF THE RADIO ISSUE!
In order to fix the issue I simply did the following:
Before my server started for the first time I made sure the default Directory already existed
/home/ubuntu/Zomboid/Server
I put in the config files I wanted to use right off the bat, and then fired up the server and after it started PRESTO! I had TV and Radio back. SMFH
Yep, It did definitely work for me.
I had the same issue while playing multiplayer not being able to watch any TV shows.
Not only Life and living also other channels for 24 hours everyday(only bzzz sound).
So
1) I wiped all files in server and save folder
2) made server setting through in-game(so ini, lua files are added in the server folder)
2-1) quit the game
3) moved server setting files in the folder to desktop
3-1) checked if setting files were gone through in-game
4) and put them back into the folder
5) run the server
It totally worked for me.
