Working Dedicated Server on network - not appearing in any Steam Server List. [Solved]
Okay, so i have little experience with setting up a server, and after compiling the various vague guides and more in-depth discussions; that I have a problem that i cant solve on my own.

The problem: the server refuses to show on either the in-game or steam server lists. I've checked the server logs and it clearly states that connection with the steams servers has been successful, with a server ID being issued and all. In addition to this, i can connect to the server from my main computer manually using the Local IP address of the dedicated server, but not by the public IP address that would be require to access via the internet.

My set up: A main PC and a Dedicated server set up on a spare windows 10 laptop. Fully connected to a LAN with access to internet etc.

I've forwarded the following ports:
8767
8766
16261
16262-16270
27015-27030
27036-27037
4380

I've set firewall exceptions for all steam, pz and dedicated server.

I've set up the server files using the in-game menu and ensured that the 'with steam' option is correct and that the server is made public.

I've tried starting from scratch multiple times now, but still left scratching my head on what i could be missing, any insight would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Check if you are behind a double NAT network?

Also make sure that you have a friend to check whether it shows up on the server list, since the main host PC cannot see its own server sometimes.

Hi, thanks for replying, I've check for a Double NAT and found that it is not the case; only 1 local IP address then public IP addresses from then on when using the CMD command.

I'll next get a friend to try and see if they can see the server, but i am using two separate machines (one to host and one to play) and the server doesn't show up on the LAN tab of the steam server list either?

I've solved it, thank you Beard you hadn't given me the solution but you got me looking in the right place :D.

Turns out it was the router all along, although the ports were being forwarded the routers UPnP function was interfering. As soon as i'd turned that off the server appear on the in-game menu.:steamhappy:
