Workshop mods not installing

Not sure why, but when I subscribed to a few mods to try them out, they don't install. The Steam download page says it's installing a 0.0mb workshop content, but it's empty and won't change or go away. I go into the game's files and look in the mods folder, but it's empty. It's been trying to download 0.0 bytes for almost an hour now

Not sure if this is a Zomboid issue or a Steam one, but I don't have this issue with other games. Windows 10 if that helps at all. Any help would be appreciated

I would recommend unsubscribing from the mods, then restarting Steam and then starting it again and subscribing again. Sometimes Steam can have issues which just makes the mod download stuck like that.

I restarted steam. The game was perpetually validating even though I had 9 hours logged. Restarting Steam helped kickstart the validation. Not sure why it had to validate again though since I played it multiple times before. All is well now though. Thanks for the quick response. Love the game

You need to launch this game from the files (like cracked version), then every mod will show up.
