No Game Sound

i have been trying for 2 days now and looked at heaps of post but cant find any way to fix the issue even uninstalled and reinstalled. i stop playing in june for a break and came back without adding any new mods and no sound at all any tips

i have now uninstalled all mods and im running the beta version of the game vbut have tried to get sound on all version and cant seem to get sound i have even check in my advanced sound setting to see it it was muted but it isnt

Try verifying your game files as well.
Steam Library > Right click Project Zomboid > Properties > Local Files > Verify Local Files

Well, has anything in your computer changed that would block sound? There dont seem to be any errors in the logs, and there would be if it failed to load the sound for some reason. Last thing I can recommend is going to "C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid" and deleting everything there except the "Saves" folder.

This would reset any custom settings and any sound settings as well, which could fix the issue. If that wont work then the issue is likely external, perhaps check whether you have the correct default device set up in your sound settings as that is what PZ uses.
