Avast antivirus sets high performance power profile on its own in win10 (SOLVED, problem with Avast antivirus)

When playing PZ windows (or PZ?) automatically sets high performance power profile. PZ is the only game where I noticed that behavior. It's not a big deal, but I wonder why is that happening?

High performance profile? As in the power plan of the computer or any other profiles? Because the power plan it would be literally impossible for PZ to change it unless you have any background programs that modify the plans based on applications.

Yes, power plan. Under "Power options" I have only Balanced power plan. Power saver and high performance plan disappeared from the list after one of the windows updates. But when PZ is running, new "HIgh performance" power plan is created, so after closing PZ my CPU runs at max clock speed. When I switch back to balanced plan, high performance plan disappears from the menu. I don't use any program capable of changing power options. My first suspect was windows "game mode", but it is turned off.

From a logical perspective, there is literally no way that PZ would be able to mess in Windows power plan settings. Therefore it has to be looked at externally. My personal suspect would be just any software that can "boost" performance or anything else. There are several that come preinstalled on some laptops as well that can change the power plan if the PC detects the usage of the GPU to boost gaming performance. I don't have any info about your PC or all your apps so I can only point in that general direction that it is most likely something external is doing that and not PZ specifically.

Problem solved! Under Avast Free Antivirus "geek area" settings there is "Maximum performance" and "Set high performance mode" option. I've disabled those options and everything is back to normal.
