Sandbox water shut off setting

Hi, I recently came back to the game and started a new chill run. I set the water and power setting to turn off in 6-12 months, but the water turned off on the 9th day. Is this a bug or am I missing something?
My game version is 41.78.16. I am not sure how to change it though. I also play on Steamdeck if that makes any difference.

I *believe* that the water will always go out simultaneously whenever the power goes out. The water can stop before power shuts off, but not other way around IIRC

Did the power shut down that day?

must be wrong settings or a bug. electricity and water fail independently of each other. i've tried all kinds of different settings, it shouldn't fail before six months have passed. especially not in 41.

if it stresses you start with it already out. that way at least you know you HAVE to drink from the river till you find a bucket

The first time it happened I thought that I didn't do the setting correctly, but now it happened again... I found how to switch to version 42 anyway. Will see how I get on)))

i always use sandbox settings in 41 and 42, different ones, and have never had this problem. maybe a problem with a mod? i always play with mods.
i don't think it has anything to do with the steamdeck.
as far as i know, b42 doesn't run on the steamdeck yet.

There are two different settings for when water and power turns off. The one that has the 0-30 days etc. choices, and one that modifies when the entire map's power and water turns off for good.

The second one is set to turn off on some specific date in July iiirc, which is so-and-so long after the standard starting date.
