Good Luck.
Take a protein diet. And yeah painkillers, and sessions with what u have.
The slower one is the multiple XP for the type.
So the stuff that only give fitness or only give strength is the more potent supply in that category.
The other one burpees that provides both with be a time saver but is providing less i think.
yah its a massive job put all hopes that the fitness items will make it faster. Should do at least. Tho maybe they are only for strength building.
Maybe there isn't a way for fitness.
I try to get in the habit of doing at least 1 set of exercise per day. I usually just grind one exercise regularity all the way full and then switch to another one. With a daily (or near daily) routine, regularity seems to increase faster than it decreases. It's harder to get started because low regularity makes you suffer greater muscle fatigue, so your exercise schedule can be critically important.
If you exercise at night before bed, you will experience the muscle fatigue a few hours after you get up, meaning you will get a full night of sleep, but then you will have a period of muscle fatigue / pain during the day. This can be dangerous because of the penalties it incurs on combat.
But if you exercise in the morning (or in the middle of the day) there is a good chance your sleep will be interrupted by muscle pain.
I usually just do it before bed and then blast painkillers if I need to.
I think Fitness is generally regarded as too hard to grind compared to other stuff.
If you solely want to increase just Fitness, focus on squats (Nice thing with this exercise, unlike burpees, you can still do melee attacks like normal since this exercise fatigue only affects the legs for movement).
If you solely want to increase just Strength, focus on push-ups OR if you have either a barbell/dumbbell, you can do their respective exercises to increase it further than push-ups.
Otherwise, if you want to work on both Fitness & Strength, do burpees.
If you REALLY dislike the exercise fatigue that occurs after doing these but still want to increase Fitness, you can do sit-ups instead, but its half the experience you could be getting with squats.
Be careful with all the exercises except for squats & sit-ups though, as your character will suffer from exercise fatigue in your arms. Meaning your character's melee attacks will be a lot slower than normal.
Protein diet will only affect the rate of Strength gain. It has no effect on Fitness at all.
Strength & Fitness do have some random ticks where they will increase as your character is moving around doing tasks. Strength will increase a little more than usual if your character is carrying over 50% their weight capacity and moving around. Fitness seems a bit more fickle though. Wiki says it will increase when you hit zombies while not overexerted, but I find it increases a bit more if your character's stamina is drained & very fatigued moving around.
EDIT: Almost forgot, but, once you're able to reach over the halfway point on the exercise's regularity, begin doing your exercises right before bed. That way, the exercise fatigue will occur as you're sleeping and shortly after waking up it'll be gone so you can go take out some Z's daily without any issues WHILE increasing your fitness/strength at an increased rate.
Beforehand, as you start your new game (+ if you doing a Zero-to-Hero runs [0 Fit/0 Str]), I generally like to set up a temp base where you're undisturbed and just gather up all the perishable food & books you can find the first day or two while power is on and watching Life & Living TV to quickly grind some exercise early on. I can usually get Fitness to level 1 & Strength to level 2 by the 3rd/4th day easily this way.
I have naturally gained fitness before but yeah didn't try same as that 6th point of strength i have obtain that before without excersize just encumbered
Do not grind statistics
You are increasing numbers on a little billboard whilst the living dead hunt you down relentlessly
my latest game i left hanging in mul starter trailer park, with 4.0 population defeated up to a sirens range from the motel. And in this game i had thought well fitness building would be nice. Since i collected all the food up cans and i have tonnes of it and we haven't even cracked the town yet or even got a decent gun. SO i thought most likely best way to spend the time eating the food was to excersize. As the zombie refil mechanic is going to see lots of migration so there is an opportunity to play the defence game. ANd in the defence game you will be doing exercises and consuming stockpiled food before making a push to expand borders, or into a new realm to create a new hole for whence to loot and live.
