Can't place any bed

Hello, I took a bed from another place to put it in my house, but there is a problem.

I took both parts of the bed into my inventory. When I select to place it down, my character
moves to the spot I choose but doesn’t place it.I have a hammer in my inventory. I also tried placing other beds and changing the direction, but it didn’t work either.My carpentry is level 4.

I’m on version 42.13.1.

don't put it in the backpack
keep one part in your main inventory and drop the other on the floor nearby, that should work

Yeah , thats what i do actually . 1 part of bed is in my inventory , the other part is on the floor nearby. But it still doesn't work.

Make sure that the bed is not equipped in your hand, press escape once before trying, make sure both are in your inventory/on the ground near both pieces, make sure no mods are interfering,

I tried everything you said but didn't work . I guess there is something wrong with the mods i use.
