Help with quests for a multiplayer "campaign."
I'm about to start an online game with 2 or 3 friends.

As we have little time to play per week and the game is technically infinite (although it says that's how you died), we don't want to extend the game over many months or waste time on the same task over and over again.

So I thought about creating a kind of campaign, with pre-defined objectives that serve to help us stay alive, but also a kind of ending to the game.

This way, when all the objectives are completed, we can move on to another game.

Can anyone give me ideas?

Note: I haven't played in years. Last time, 3d animations were still in development.

lol , when you host a mp server with friends and they keep dying, no furniture in sight. :NekoSad:

I JUST NEED A BED!!
Start a ten years later modded run with Build Menu mod and all of its addons. and turn off zombie respawn/migration.

Pick a town to start in.

Kill every zombie in town, then look for 1 vehicle per person to get up and running.

Clear out all the trees, clear the growth, fix the town.

Rinse and repeat for every town.
Use the raceway track map and hold racing events

Repair Spiffo's in each main town to working condition and make a burger

Do a no gas nomad challenge and hoof it from Riverside to LV's northern bridge, insane zombie spawns optional

€ make a series of custom annotated maps and have the players find the items in question
The hype of my last play through was travelling to louisville and setting up there.

Map wide scavenger hunt to find specific items to repair a singular no-part, 0% condition vehicle and escape via the Louisville bridge. No vehicle spawns except for that one vehicle, no part spawns except for one of each actual part needed. Rare spawns for metal, sheet metal, etc.

Set it up right and you'll need to kill a fair number of zomboids, get a competent builder to a radio tower location and set it up, then get to Louisville and survive long enough for pick up. Gives a good chance to see most of the mechanics and some of the map but with an end in sight.
All those insane endgame goals... And i am just trying to make muffins...
Find a complete Santa Claus outfit, and set up your base for a full out holiday party, have said party, drink bleach.
Retake Louisville. Get the zombies out of it. Make sure respawn stays on. You only truly win when no more zombies respawn within Louisville's borders.
Claim Knox County:
For every town on the map (Rosewood, Muldraugh, and anything you wan to consider a town), kill most of the zombies there and build two small bases by the main access roads, as if they were checkpoints, or fortifications for defending the town against zombies. Four beds for four sentries, a plumbed sink with a water collector and a small vegetable garden. Two of these buildings per town.
