How well does this game run on steam deck with mods?
Will it explode my steam deck? I play rimworld with a bunch of mods..but once I get to endgame the game lags and slows down. Nothing that can be done. How about this game?

I think pz runs like smooth butter on deck, I have only use 10 years later mod and had no issues with lag whatsoever and that mod has a lot going on in terms of vegetation n stuffs.

Obviously going to depend on how many mods you use, how their optimized, etc. Example using a bunch of different mods from different mod creators could cause issues in terms of compatibility so I would just double check any mods you do work you read the description for.

Hope this helps <3

you cant add more ram like on PC so i would think any QoL mods and mods adding normal vehicles / items are good but mod changing game mechanic/adding new are bad .

In rimworld not mods slowing you game down but people/animals . On my pc no matter if im playing vanilla or modded , game run fine until 20+ people . Animals are fps killer ... or when you get rides of 100+people

You play rimworld on steam deck ? I see few games what i would love to play for 2 hours a day when on bus . Rimworld , factorio and now PZ . Is Steam deck easy to play on ?
Im mostly play on PC and console controller is not my favorite

The steam deck is great to play on. Rimworld runs like a dream, though you need to do a few tweaks, like increase the amount of ram the game uses, especially if you're running mods. It started to slow down now because I'm getting so much stuff but it runs well for the most part. It can even run MMOs pretty smoothly too. It was definitely worth it for me.

Runs great imo, and has built in controller support too with a great layout. Just play the tutorial so you can learn the controller buttons quickly. and then bind stuff like zoom in and out (scroll wheel) to the back buttons and whatever else you want on the remaining two and then you're good to go.

Im playing with steam deck on a server that has 200+ mods, im running 30fps, it can slow down zoomed out. also I have found that some mods only work when I use proton and some mods dont work at all.

I use the same mods on my Desktop and deck, i get like 10 FPS less (on deck 40-50 FPS) than on my Desktop, i mainly have map mods installed tho

You should check out some of the noob servers, spend some time trying out some mods that way. come try some out Im playing on "west coast noobs heavy" I have over 600hr on pz all on sd, and still learning this game.

I play PZ with my partner and we play with pretty intensive mods too like Project Russia and many more. They play on my Deck while Im on my PC and she never really experiences performance issues unless there's a large horde of Zomboids and she's zoomed out far. Besides the tedious control scheme, PZ is really good on the Deck.
