If you ask Lori... Shane got lucky in the tent a couple times. But yeah, after Rick ended up not being dead, his lucky activities abruptly ended.
I see you went with the build when Shane used the fire axe or shovel, not bad. Mine is based off his physical fitness, as to run & fight for longer without getting exhausted, especially when carrying stuff.
By the way, did Beltneck delete his comment? As there was much more to his post than just that.
I want to believe Lori only hooked up with Shane because she thought Rick was deader than year-old roadkill. This has caused me to wonder whether Shane's womanizing and/or refusal to form a stable romantic relationship, before the Big Reset Button got pressed, was due to him coveting Lori for, oh, 2 or 3 decades.
TWD: Zombie Apocalypse Soap Opera
Shane's most noteworthy quality IMO, was his ability to make decisions and take what action he deemed appropriate. Though Rick was level headed, his inability to act sometimes was his weakness. Shane was best equipped to deal with the harsh reality of their situation well before anyone else realized what their situation was going to involve. So he definitely gets the Desensitized trait because nothing in the new world phased him much emotionally as it did with most others which lead to their overall inability to cope and/or act in the beginning. Those who survived long enough however developed the trait too. But in many regards, too little too late.
Insofar as Shanes mental condition... a couple things indicated that he was having issues. Using Otis as an escape decoy for example. Since there is no 'Guilty Conscience' trait, I guess 'Restless Sleeper' would be the closest thing which infers having nightmares due to issues like this.
Tho Adrenaline Junky on the surface sounds like a trait for Extreme Sports. The effect sounds like something Shane possessed. That being 'Moves Faster when Highly Panicked' That seems like the opposite of freezing under pressure due to an inability to act as outlined above.
I deffo saw that Desensitized trait developing among most of the survivors as the series progressed, as you pointed out. There is also, IMO, a Nihilism that becomes a normal state for several named-characters.
I double-checked and did not find Nihilist trait among the Negative Traits in vanilla PZ; what might be a good combination of negative traits to fill-in or will this be something for a mod?
If I remember correctly, in order to obtain the Desensitized trait you need to kill 500 zombies. If you would like to have it from the start, an alternative would be to subscribe to an addon that adds it.
Regarding about using mods, I do allow the use of them if it's not possible to do it in vanilla PZ. Also, to make it easier for everyone I would suggest posting links to the addons that have those specific traits mentioned.
"Nihilist" is not "Desensitized." It's not a trait at all in Vanilla PZ; the closest to it would have to be a combination of existing traits or for it to be added in the Expanded Traits, More Traits, or More SImple Traits mods.
The closest thing to "Nihilist" I can find in More Traits mod is "Self Destructive" but it is not really a good match.
The characters he plays are nearly always the same.
Also all his characters are about his "suffering face and heavy breathing". They made a whole series about that.
(The punisher. It was...terrible.)
He has his niche of acting, and it is not for everyone. Including me. He can be an awesome person in real life, but i just cant bring myself to like his acting, allthough it is also entirely possible that all fault lies with the script writers, and they force him into this stereotypical bland kind of character.

For the desensitized trait, you can use "Become Desensitized" and set Minimum Zombie Kills & Maximum Zombie Kills to 1. Once you killed a zombie, you will have to wait until 00:00 to obtain it.

"Desensitized" is not "Nihilist." I am seeking a combination of existing vanilla or modded traits to fill in for someone who is nihilistic.
