Fixed: Modloader Crashes Game
One was released today? My game will no longer load now (Worked fine up to my last game on friday - I have 64bit Windows).
Now i try to run it, the first window opens (black) then closes.. no errors.. just closes.
I reinstalled the game and same thing. If i opt OUT of the BETA, it loads ok. I even tried (opting back into Beta) to run in compatibility mode - same thing.. black screen then closes.

It's got an auto update function so should work fine. Mine does at least. Have you checked properties to see if updates are selected?

I have the same. This game getting more and more unstable after patching. I think I rather play 2.9.9.17. Yeah, there are less stuff but it MUCH stable and MUCH faster

I had this happened because of trying to run old mods that I had since like 2.9.9.17.

Try to delete "options.ini" from your "C:\%Username%\Zomboid" folder and restarting the game. It fixed the issue for me. Also, old mods might not work anymore with the new versions.

Ya, there might be a problem with old mods. One thing i have found in my testing today is that a mod NEEDS to have a tag in the mod.info file of id=(name) if no such tag is in the file, it likes to crash PZ as it loads. Even if the mod isnt selected as being loaded up, it will still crash PZ and it looks over things when it loads.

If your using versoin 4 of the reclying mod, theres a error in how it is and will crash pz when laoding unless you remove the spaces in it.

Thanks guys.. that was it.. I was using the mod - CraftHelper to remind me ingame what can be crafted. I thought by deleting/reinstalling the game the mod was removed. I guess that folder isnt deleted. I manually deleted the Zomboid folder from the "Users\<username>" folder and that did the trick. I tried reinstalling the mod and the same thing happened. I have removed it so i can play. I hope the modmaker updates it... it was very helpful.
