How do you cook/fry food?
So I can turn an oven on, but that's it. I have a cookingpot with water, and nudles. For the life of me I can't figure out how to place the pot on the oven and the nudles in the pot....

Man...reading what I just wrote makes me sound...eh, special.

Haven't tried ovens yet, but bacon and microwave goes like this: Click on (/open) microwave, put bacon inside, right-click microwave, Turn On, wait (for a rather unreasonable amount of time). Take cooked bacon. Hint: not ON but IN the oven - it's just a container you can turn on

Right now, ovens work as a storage device. Drag the food item into the oven, then right click the oven and tell it to turn on. Just be sure to riight click again and tell it to turn off or you could end up burning the house down.

also it takes some time usually 30 minutes or so the only thing I can not cook is an egg though I have an inkling that it is an ingreadient or takes more like a pot of water/frying pan.

You CANNOT use a pot of water with ramen noodles. use a bowl of water to make a bowl of ramen. you can cook alot of things but i'm not sure which ingredients are needed to make what you want.

So, say I have a pot filled with water, and I have some nudles. To cook them all I have to do is just put them inside like a container and just turn it on? Despite the fact that the nudles are outside of the pot it will cook?

Like I said, get a bowl of water not a pot, then right click the bowl or ramen noodles then it will say "MAKE RAMEN" after that you place it inside the oven and right click it to turn it on.

Actually, I just made a pot of Chicken and Ramen Soup. You can use a pot of water with Ramen Noodles. Admittedly I went to sleep for about 12 hours and burnt it but still made it XD

You have to put the food into the container, the container being the stove. There should be a little button in the top right of the container window that says Turn On. Once it's turned on you can watch the container and a cooking bar will fill up on the item. First it cooks, then after that it starts burning (represented by another bar that fills up), so you just have to take it out right after it finishes cooking and before the burning bar fills up. The microwave works the same way. Just make sure to turn it off. :fire:

Zardoz, those are sadly obsolete... with the new "evolved" recipes soups have changed somewhat (no canned tuna/beans, no flour, no sugar, etc.).

The wiki doesn't have the new info... the game files themselves do if you want to look though them.

Thx 4 the heads up, m8! HeHe, I was questioning the sense of sugar or flour in my soup anyway but I'm no cooking expert tho ^^

Mostly. They are still adding to the current system. Some of the features are not in yet. Once the game is more feature complete it will be much easier to learn these mechanics.

That's the newest dev link.. so yes it's a good information link (for now).

But if you want to know everything that can go in a salad/sandwich/burger/stew/soup/pie/cake you'll have to read the game data files for now... until/unless someone updates the wiki.

And I don't like updating wiki's... so it'll have to be someone other than me ;)
