Farming Seeds

I've grown some Radishes and Cabbages, but didn't get any seeds back. I heard that from farming, everything you grow gives some seeds back for sustainability. Is farming bugged, or can you get seeds from growing vegetables/fruit?

let them grow longer they eventually produce seeds.
what i wana know is, my guy that was a farmer died and now with my new char i dont seem to have any access to my plants to tend them. Do i need to lvl my farming back up just to harvest,will i ever get access to my previous plants?

When you say to let them grow longer, do you mean to not harvest them until a few days after you are able to?

yes after they become harvestable let them grow a few more days think 2 maybe 3 days.
they will say on the info popup that they have seeds.

Hey, I posted a a record of my farming during the months of October and November, you can go and see if it helps. I concluded that it could be winter and hence the returns for certain crops wouldnt be as efficient. Try tomatos if you are in the months i mentioned.

All plants have different growing times but yeah unless the plant says it's seed-bearing you won't get seeds when you harvest them.

This is actually a kind of useful necro. At no point have I seen this mechanic explained, I didn't know it was even possible to get seeds from crops and I've been playing Zomboid since years back. Thought once you ran out of seeds, that was it.

iam new to this game and still learning all the tricks like how do you use a BBQ charcoal red thingy....i cant add fuel to it meaning the charcoal... glad i could be of service :D
