1) Don't play in the rain, you get wet & get sick easier. Getting exhausted while wet makes this worse (I think; not 100% on that). Use a bath towel to dry off (recent patches have made those very common).
2) don't eat raw meat or rotten food (that's where I get most of my sickness from).
Eat well, sleep regularly; take it easy and don't overexert when sick to recover (unless it's the zombie virus; from which you won't recover).
Vitamins make you less tired, painkillers remove the pain "moodle"... unless your sickness causes pain neither really helps here. Sleeping pills to sleep more might help a bit if you're also fed (or well fed).
And Gunz... scratches infect something like 1 time in 10. Bites infect more like 9 times in 10. You keep gambling with scratches you'll lose eventually... but good luck avoiding that fate as long as possible. :)

Raw peas, not even once.
Still to get better you need to eat cooked food, TV dinners are easy to find and cook, i just had a bunch laying around so i took all of them and ate them each time the buff i had from the food went away.
Do not go outside unless you need to find food.
That so. :)
